Linear actuator

With traditional machines, hydraulic cylinders are used to perform linear movements. For electric machines, eQuip uses robust, self developed electro-hydraulic linear actuators. This development has been crucial in the electrification of machine drives. In this product, all benefits of hydraulics (such as simple overload protection and shock- and vibration resistance) and electronics (such as high energy efficiency and low maintenance) come together.

Electric motors are of course available in countless variants and designs. The electric motor is used to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. Traditional electric motors are heavy and relatively large. eQuip's electric motors find their origin in the automotive market, where a lot of developments are taking place. Control inverters

We use a control inverter to convert direct current (from the battery) to alternating current, with which we control the actuators in torque/force and speed. This control is extremely accurate and quick and is accompanied by high efficiency of approximately 99%. Dependent on the application, we might opt for singular or multiple control inverters. We also have special inverters for the regulation of voltage and charging of the batteries.

Energy storage system

There are various types of batteries. For professional usage Lithium-ion batteries have become the standard. This generation batteries does not suffer from a memory effect and have a very high energy density.

The notion that electric motors are large and not powerful is one that belongs to the past. The power density of electric motors is higher than a combustion engine and similar to a hydraulic motor. Lightweight and powerful.
LONG BATTERY LIFE
Technological development has led to far better batteries. The battery life is now more than enough for a work day. Also, the life time of batteries has improved a lot, to up to 8,000 charge cycles.
LOW MAINTENANCE
Electric motors are very maintenance-friendly, because they possess (far) less moving parts than traditional combustion engines and hydraulic motors. An electric system also doesn't have filters or hoses that need periodic replacements.
LESS NOISE NUISANCE
Electric motors produce far less noise than combustion engines or hydraulic motors.
ROBUST IN ANY ENVIRONMENT
We are specialised and exclusively use electric components/actuators that are suited for the harshest environments. They have been extensively tested on heavy vibrations, shocks and extreme ambient temperatures.
